This Gitxsan Pole is a replica that was carved in 1954. The original pole carved around 1900 was made in memory of a Chief known as Wistis. This replica pole is found in Thunderbird Park in Victoria, British Columbia.

The original pole was carved by the man who succeeded Chief Wistis in the village of Gitsegukla (Skeena Crossing). The figures and crests are from the Chief's family and refer to his lineage. The original was acquired by the provincial museum in 1954 and the copy was made the following year.
At the top of the uncarved portion is the Living Eagle, a mythical bird. Three Beings Across show twice to commemorate six human faces are found in the middle of the pole. At the base Corner Post Figures commemorating a former house that had human figures on the corner posts.
