This survey mark is the top center of the water tower located in the center of the block bordered by Alice, Ash, and Idaho Streets plus what would be an extension of Maple Street in Blackfoot, Idaho.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1959 (WH)
AN ELEVATED STEEL WATER TANK TOWARDS THE NORTH LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BLACKFOOT. THE LONGTITUDINAL DEMENSIONS OF THE TANK IS ABOUT 2-1/2 TIMES THAT OF ITS DIAMETER. THE CONICAL TOP OF THE TANK WAS INTERSECTED.

The entire tank body and four open box girder supporting legs are painted light blue with 'Blackfoot' in black letters on the south face of the tank.
