The pictorial sign of the Commercial appears to show some sort of meeting around a table, probably a scene from inside the pub itself. The age of the people is hard to judge, but I'd opt for pre-Victorian era simply because of the look of their shoes!!
The Commercial or 'Cwm' is a public house and hotel at the heart of the town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. The public house offers a good range of beers. wines and spirits as well as a fair few local ales, in barrels.
The atmosphere is warm, and there are many connections to the old mining history of the area. The pub may have fed the ale needs of many a miner in years gone by, now it is more likely to be serving a tourist.
