[DE] An dieser Stelle befindet sich eine runde Granitsteinplatte mit den Koordinaten N.B.54°11'07.9353" Ö.L.9°49'19.5452" die den geographischen Mittelpunkt Schleswig-Holsteins ausweisen. Die Koordinaten wurden von Landesvermessungsamt Schleswig-Holstein im Auftrag des Hörfunksenders NDR1 Welle Nord berechnet. Der Stein wurde am 17.05.2001 enthüllt und hat einen Durchmesser von einem Meter. Neben den Koordinaten trägt der Stein die eingemeißelte Inschrift DIE MITTE SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEINS und NORTORF. An der Nordseite des Steins stehen zwei Granitsäulen, eine zeigt das Wappen der Stadt Nortorf und die andere das Wappen des Bundeslandes Schleswig-Holstein. Weiterhin steht hier ein Fahnenmast und ein paar Bänke und ein Tisch. Die "Mitte Schleswig-Holsteins" liegt nord-westlich der Stadt Nortorf und nördlich der Kreisstraße K45 / Rendsburger Straße am Ende eines kleinen Feldweges. Die Koordinaten auf dem Stein liegen gegenüber den genommenen Koordinaten 194 Meter nördlich bei einem Winkel von 23° auf einer Kuhweide.

[EN] At this point you will find a round granite stone with the coordinates N.B.54°11'07.9353" Ö.L.9°49'19.5452" which defines the geographical center of Schleswig-Holstein. The coordinates were calculated by the State Surveying Agency of Schleswig-Holstein on behalf of the radio station NDR1 Welle Nord. The stone was set on May 17th, 2001 and has a diameter of one meter. Besides the coordinates the stone shows the inscription DIE MITTE SCHLESWIG-HOLSTEINS (The middle of Schleswig-Holstein) and NORTORF. There are two granit pillars at the north side of the stone, one shows the coat of the town of Nortorf and the other one shows the coat of the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein. There is also a flag pole, some benches and a table. The "Middle of Schleswig-Holstein" lies north-westerly of the town of Nortorf and north of county road K45 / Rendsburger Straße at the end of a farm road. The coordinates on the stone compared to my readings are 194 meters north of this point at a bearing of 23° on a cow pasture.
