Sporis Park in Carbondale, Colorado, USA used the blank walls of the restroom to create a stunning community art project where citizens painted 8" by 8" (20.32 cm) ceramic tiles that were then affixed to the restroom's exterior equally spaced. Each tile is the painter's creation - so the only theme is what each citizen wanted to paint. Many tiles are of the local scenery, names, wishes for peace and love, a few self-portraits, and some abstracts. This was a community art project in 2000 by the Carbondale Clay Center, Town of Carbondale and Carbondale Arts and Humanities COuncil.
