The so-called 'Nicolaikapelle' (Nicolai Chapel) in Hannover, Germany, Niedersachsen is the ruin of an old church. It was destroyed in 1943 by an air raid.
The church was built between 1250 and 1284. It was originally named 'Capella Leprosorum'.
The today still existing part was built in 1325.
It was changed an re-newed in 1742, 1829 and 1883.
Until 1914 it was the church of the 'English Church' in Hannover.
The church was destroyed in 1943 by an air raid. It was never re-built again.
It's the oldest still existing building in Hannover!
