In Milton, along Mass. Route 138, is the Trailside Museum, which has handicap access trail through their animal exhibit.

To reach the museum, from I-93, take the exit north on Mass. Route 138 (toward Milton and Boston). Drive through the traffic light and then the museum on the right. If the near parking lot is full, there is a larger parking lot after passing the museum.

Trailside is jointly operated by Massachusetts Audubon and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (Mass DCR). It has a museum building with ecological exhibits, an animal exhibit area, and a duck pond. The web site for the museum states that the building and restrooms are handicap accessible and that they have a an outdoor exhibit trail.

The trail found runs by most of the animal exhibits, in the upper level of the area. The way is paved. There is a rope along the side with wood shapes and a brail and raised letter sign where there is a stop. Stops include the bird feeding station, snowy owl exhibit, white tailed deer, red tailed hawk, and seasonal stream. The animals are in roomy cages and have places to fly or move. To someone with sight impairment, they may not be the most exciting thing if they stay still. However, the seasonal stream and bird feeding station may be full of sounds. Then there are more woodland sounds as songbirds may be hanging out in the trees. Also, if they are able to make it, at the lower level is the duck pond where waterfowl may be present. There is even a place where you can put in a coin and get some food to feed the ducks!
