Just what a passing canoeist needs on a hot afternoon, a cup of clean, cold, pure water! This well was built so long ago that the local residents can’t put a date on it. They do recall, however, that it has long been used by cabin owners for as long as they can remember. The well is easily identified by the black pipe protruding from the stone encasement. An aluminum dipper cup is chained to the top.

The well is found along the 45 rod trail connecting Burntside and Little Long Lakes. It can only be accessed by boat during open water season and by snowmobile or by foot in the winter months.
