Even a university has a need to control parking and generate revenue. This solar powered parking meter is found in front of Old St. Stephen's College, near HUB Mall at the University of Alberta.

The panel charges the battery system that operates the machine as well as the dial up link to confirm the validity of any bank/credit card used.
