Hier stand im Mittelalter das Hofer Pilgerhospiz " Zum Pilgrim" von 1487 - 1553. 1798 umbenannt alds Wirtshaus "Zur Goldenen Sonne" von 1798 - 1864. Durch die Stadt Hof verläuft der Jakobsweg noch 2330 km bis weiter nach Santiago di Compostela/ Spanien.
Unten sind die Europäischen Sterne und das Jahr 1999 zu erkennen; außerdem beinhaltet die Steintafel geographische Koordinaten des Standortes soie die Höhenangabe 498 m.
