Water Tank on the roof of Saltaire Mill's main block, Saltaire, West Yorkshire. - Water Towers on Waymarking.com

This is a rather plain water tank placed on a high stone plinth and high above the roof line of the main block of Saltaire Mill. It is of sheet metal, riveted and painted pale blue being six plates in depth and three in width. It requires a de-rust and a coat of paint to restore it to pristine condition. There is a float level indicator mechanism which appears to have no cable to lower level. A ladder is set up against the south face to enable inspection.

The tank can be seen between the two low towers in the centre of the building to the right of the 'New Mill' chimney, see waymark WMG8ED.
