"In 1896, A.T. Lewis & Son, a department store which specialized in American and imported fancy dress goods, occupied the building. The store differed from others in the city in that it was "a distinctively dry goods store, having no departments and carrying no articles of merchandise that do not belong legitimately to the miscellany of an exclusive dry goods establishment." The NRHP database lists this structure as vacant. It has been renovated and now hosts trendy lofts just off the popular 16th Street Mall in downtown Denver.
