There's a plaque with this text at the coumn:
Erinnerung an den 19. April
1818 - 1843
(Remembering the 19th April 1818 - 1843)
Karl Egon II. Fürst zu Fürstenberg, in whos Palace Garden the column is located, married Prinzessin Amalie von Baden at the 19th April 1818. So this is a memorial for their 25th anniversary in 1843.
The column is made of red stone - maybe limestone.
It is topped with a sculpture of an eagle made of stone.
At the basement of the coulmn are the coat of arms of the 'zu Fürstenberg' family.
