This bridge connects the land of the Thais with Malaysia. On the Thai side of the bridge is a two part inscription, in Thai and English, on both sides of the bridge. The bridge is maybe 50m in length. One must pass through immigration of either sovereign nation (thus invalidating one's visa) to cross the bridge. There is no parking in the immediate vicinity.

As follows:
Golok Bridge
Jointly built by the governments of
Malaysia and Thailand
The Golok Bridge is symbolic of the
close ties that exist between the peoples
and governments of the two countries
officially declared opened by
their excellencies the prime ministers of
Thailand -(!)- Malaysia
Field Marshal Thanom Tun HJ Abdul Razan
Kittikorn Bin Datuk Hussein
on the 21st day of May 1973

Please Note:

~ There is an ongoing Islamic based independence movement in this area of southern Thailand. Several hundred people are killed every year. The Australian government strongly advises its citizens to avoid visiting this region. Lots of armed police and soldiers, so few photos ops.
