One will find the Western Development Museum at 2610 Lorne Ave, which is just off the Louis Riel Trail on the southern edge of Saskatoon.

The UDLX was one of Minneapolis Moline's poorer ideas. One of the first tractors with a fully enclosed cab, the intention was that the farmer could use the tractor in the field through the day and take the family to town in the tractor at night. This, presumably, would eliminate the necessity of a second vehicle, saving the farmer money. Not too many farmers, however, bought into the scheme, and the UDLX was, to put it generously, never a stellar seller. In fact, sales only reached about 150 tractors. Today they are one of the most collectible vintage tractors of all time.

Powered by a Minneapolis-Moline 4.6L 4-cyl gasoline engine of 36 HP, the UDLX was equipped with a 40 MPH road gear, vastly greater than any other tractors of the time. It came with a very innovative(for the time) 5 speed synchronized, shift-on-the-fly, transmission. The UDLX was produced from 1938 to 1941.
