The Patterson Hospital was constructed by Dr. James Patterson in 1928. It is located at 929 W. Willow Avenue. This was the first "modern" hospital in the Duncan area. The hospital had 60 rooms, 50 of which were for patients. There were two operating rooms, a kitchen and a basement area which was used as a home for the nurses, as well as a training area. The hospital operated at this location until 1956.

This is a three-story brick building with a basement. There are projected wings at the center front and rear. A brick portico was added during the 1993 remodeling. Eleven steps lead up to the front entrance, however, the rear entrance is at ground level. A large stone name/date block at the upper front reads: "19 PATTERSON HOSPITAL 28".

The building is not heavily ornamented, with the exception of brick corbelling at the roof line, and a stone beltcourse above each row of windows. All windows are one over one double hung on all levels, with the ground floor windows slightly smaller. All have concrete sills. The building measures 38 x 100 feet, not including the front and rear projections.

Extensive remodeling was done in 1993 with the addition of the portico, the removal of a dirt berm at the front of the building, and restoration of the maple flooring, and decorative woodwork inside, as well as lighting and heating and air units. The building is currently used as offices and an attorney's name is noted on the glass front door. The building was placed on the National Register in 1995 (#95001417).
