The building was created by Jörg von Halsbach in the years 1470 to 1480 in gotic style.
The building was destroyed in 1940 and renewed in two phases from 1953 to 1958, the 56 m high tower was rebuilt from 1971 to 1974 according to the original tower from 1493
Remarks: Although this "Old Town Hall" looks newer than the "New Town Hall", it IS the "Old Town Hall" - in the tower now you can find a museum for toys.
