This building was erected around 1906 for Dr. Hunt, a prominent early doctor in Oakland. The most notable features on this structure are the bay windows which project from the second story. This building once housed the first restaurant in Oakland that offered food as its only trade. At the time of the historic district nomination, it contained a confectionery store and restaurant on the lower floor and a dentist office upstairs. Today the building is a private residence.
