This Ella street property, overlooking Crescent Park with its numerous fine Victorian homes, was developed and surveyed by Henry Warren Lancey, who named the street after his daughter.

Lancey was a prominent surveyor, builder and entrepreneur who played an important role in the history of Petrolia. The original occupant was Lemuel Cole, an oil operator who lived in the house from 1876 until 1880.

Appropriately the current owners maintain the Petrolia Heritage web-site.
