Corporal Peter Gedda of Bessemer MI was killed in action during WWI. Cpl Gedda could have been a Marine, or he could have been in the Army. We have not been able to find out any more information about him. Source: (

We did not see a plaque on the outside of the building the day we visited, but the building was closed, so we could not go inside. Suerly there is more information about these heroes there.
This is a small post in a cute, picturesque small town. The post itself does not have an internet presence.
