PARK OF MONSTERS - PARCO DEI MOSTRI

Is a kind of big garden or park with displays quite a lot of old sculptures and odd buildings out of stone. Most of them are quite huge. They have the shape of animals, knights or monsters.

The site ist historic. The stonework was done from the artist Pier Francesco Orsini in the 16th century. The garden was forgotten, hidden and overgrown during most of the last century. In the 1970th it was rediscovered and restored.

The park is quite huge and a good photo-location, you can stroll along more than half a day. So bring some time.

There is an entrance fee! It's open all day from 8.00 a.m. to at least 5.00 p.m. in summer till sunset.
