The Bluebird Cafe is a fun and relaxing eatery in the heart of downtown Glenwood Springs, offering organic and some gluten-free menu items. The food was great and the staff were personable and, in fact, quite helpful in choosing our lunch - they have excellent quiches.
The cafe has a more laid back coffee shop feel to it and has direct access through the building to the mountaineering store next door to the south. Of course, what caught my eye, and what convinced me that this cafe fit this category, was the dog bowls on the floor near our table. No dogs were in here while we ate, but it was obvious that they are welcome.
The Bluebird Cafe is located at 730 Grand Avenue, the main thoroughfare through town. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
