This ghost sign can be seen as you travel westbound over the railroad bridge on State Street. Among several ghost signs advertising long forgotten products was the classic MAXWELL HOUSE COFFEE sign in capital block letters on an old industrial building now bearing a new The Russel Hall Co. sign.
The ghost sign is contained within pale yellow square. If you look carefully you notice the inverted coffee cup with a drop of coffee dripping out. The famous slogan "Good to the last drop" appears in yellow to the left of the cup. According to legend, President Theodore Roosevelt spoke these words after being served the Maxwell House coffee in the Hermitage in Nashville, TN in 1907.
