Adams is a small town in Berkshire County, MA with a population of 8,485 according to the 2010 census. it was founded in 1778 and named after colonial patriot, Samuel Adams. It has several claims to fame. The noted women's suffragette, Susan B. Anthony, was born in Adams in 1820. Its most famous geographic feature, Mt. Greylock is the highest point in Massachusetts.
Welcome To Adams is written in raised gold letters and Mt. Greylock looms over the buildings of downtown Adams in this colorful painted sign that greets northbound travellers as they enter into Adams.
