This is the so-called 'Saalbau' located in the 'Bahnhofstraße' in Neustadt, Germany, Rheinland-Pfalz. It is listed in the German Monument Registers.
The Saalbau is a multifunctional event and conference center in Neustadt. It is used for cultural events such as theater and concert performances, as well as for meetings, conventions and exhibitions.
It was built in the years 1871–1873 by the architect Albert Geul in Neo-Renaissance style. It was badly demaged by a huge fire in 1980. The reconstruction took place 1982–1984. It was reopend 1984.
The facility provides up to 1440 seats at performances and an area of ??1500 m² for exhibitions.
