Seven Mile Café began life in a converted house at 311 W Congress St near the historic courthouse square in Denton. It wasn't long before they outgrew that location, and moved across their driveway to a converted old church. They have since repeated that maneuver, and their home today is a former Seventh Day Adventist church on the other side of town. They have also since expanded, but this is still the flagship restaurant.
Hours:
Sunday: 7 AM to 2:30 PM
Monday - Friday: 7 AM to 2 PM
Saturday: 7 AM to 2:30 PM
Parking can be tight here during peak hours. The restaurant itself is fairly spacious, with some outdoor seating. They have free wi-fi if you need it, and there are many, many outlets to plug in if you're planning to stay awhile.
For breakfast, they serve up a variety of dishes, including breakfast bowls (mostly cereal and/or yogurt, with a few smoothies and açai bowls as well), egg dishes of all kinds, waffles (including the popular pairing with chicken), breakfast tacos and sandwiches, oatmeal, French toast, and for the adventurous, specialty pancakes: Think "Strawberry Nutella" or "Cinnamon Roll" as just two examples, although they do like to change things up every so often. For lunch, there are soups, salads, sandwiches, and burgers. A small selection of beer and wine is available, along with a well-stocked bar, in addition to juices and soft drinks. They also have a children's menu, and there are vegan offerings, marked appropriately on the main menu. Check out their website for the full menus.
They are also in the coffee business, and while the menu is not extensive, they offer the basic coffee drinks, along with some house specialties and cold brewed coffees. Order one of their house coffees, and they'll give you a cup to take with you later. Service is outstanding.
