This carving of a Polar Bear lies at the south end of the plaground in the southern area of Kaivopuisto Park. The bear is depicted lying down on his stomach and is designed to be ridden by the children playing in the playground. He has been painted, but it looks like it has been a while. It appears that he is incorporated into a sled-like base and secured to the ground. The Kaivopuisto Park borders the coast line southeast of the Helsinki city center.
