Obed Mountain has a number of different locations where there elevation signs as the highway crosses the mountain in east and west directions with a fairly distinct separation. In addition, there is an elevation sign here at the rest area on the top of the west bound lanes.
There was a string of graffiti vandalism in the area and this rest area and its facilities were targeted in addition to numerous areas up along the highway in the Edson and Hinton area (January 2013).
