Šemík is a mythical horse of the Czech historical legends. His master was Horymír which Šemík saved from certain death by a bold leap from the rocks at Vysehrad. HOrymir was saved, but Semik died. According to legend, Šemík was buried in Neumetely, where today stands its the tomb.

Šemík je mýtický kun z ceských historických povestí. Šemík zachránil svého pána Horymíra pred jistou smrtí odvážným skokem ze skály na Vyšehrade. Horymír byl zachránen, ale Semik zemrel. Podle legendy, byl Šemík pohrben v Neumetelích, kde dnes stojí jeho hrobka.
