Bicentennial Memorial Park in downtown Ashford, Alabama, is a small park that commemorates the U.S. bicentennial, as well as honors fallen members of the U.S. Armed Services. Two eternal flames are located on either side of the entrance to the park.

The bicentennial memorial in the center of the small park is a granite memorial located in a raised bed filled with white gravel. There are two eternal flames, one on each side of the entrance to the park. A flagpole bearing the U.S. flag is located directly behind the memorial. A time capsule is located beneath the memorial. The memorial text reads:

Freedom USA
1776 1976
Bicentennial

Right Side:
In Memory of Men and Women Who by Their Unselfish Patriotism Have Advanced the American Ideals of Liberty and the Universal Brotherhood of Man.

Left Side:
Yesterday is Past. Let Us Serve Well Today So That the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave Will Live Forever.

A plaque on a post behind the memorial reads:
Ashford was incorporated on June 22, 1891. Citizens, friends, and families of Ashford gathered here on June 22, 1991, to remember Ashford's durable and progressive history. This commemoration also affirmed their faith in Ashford's future by placing in this park a time capsule which is to be opened June 22, 2091. In memory of those who have brought Ashford to this point and with hope for those who will, in the present and future contribute to Ashford, the Centennial Committee dedicates this marker.
