Wat Chan is located on the north side of Nan River, just across from the centre of the pleasant, provincial capital of Phitsanulok. At this time the Wat is undergoing a major renovation. There is a new and very large ordination hall under construction, as well as new Buddhist images. The wat covers a large area of land. Entry is unrestricted, though a 20 baht (~50c) donation is always the thing to do.
