"The City of Winter Garden, pursuant to its Charter, follows a Commission-Manager form of government.
Residents are served by five non-partisan elected officials. City Commissioners serve for three-year overlapping terms which are elected by district with the Mayor elected by a city-wide vote. These elected officials appoint the City Manager who is tasked with overseeing all administrative duties and the daily business operations of the City.

"Winter Garden has a warm and humid subtropical climate, and there are two major seasons each year. One of those seasons is hot and rainy, lasting from May until October (roughly coinciding with the Atlantic hurricane season). The other is a cooler season (November through March) that brings more moderate temperatures and less frequent rainfall.
