This natural spring is located by the road, very close to Alqueva dam, which I believe has the largest artificial water surface in Europe. However, it's not easy to notice this old spring. It's on the top of a soft hill, with no road access.

There is an attached tank, obviously abandoned for a long time, and even the place where the water comes out was taken over by bushes. But still, the fresh water runs, with its characteristic nice sound.

Last but not least, the views! From the spring one can see part of the artificial lake and the nearby olive trees fields, as well as an abandoned farm on the top of the next hill.

To get there, park the car near the roundabout and walk 200 meters.
