Loucen chateau is just some 55 kilometers away from capital city Prague. The first chateau was built at Loucen in the early eighteenth century by the Waldstein family. In 1809 its last noble owners acquired it through marriage. Maxmilián Thurn–Taxis - a member of the famous European noble family – became the new lord of Loucen.
The chateau was confiscated from the Thurn und Taxis family in 1945 by the state. The chateau was sold to private investor after Velvet revolution (1989).

Zámek Loucen je vzdálen jen zhruba 55 kilometru od hlavního mesta Prahy. První zámek byl postaven v Loucni na pocátku osmnáctého století rodem Valdštejnu. V roce 1809 získal zámek snatkem jeho poslední šlechtictí majitelé - rod Thurn-Taxis. Maxmilián
V roce 1945 byl zámek rodine z Thurn Taxisu zkonfiskován státem.
Zámek byl prodán soukromému investorovi po Sametové revoluci. K návšteve zámku láká rozsáhly zámecký park a ojedinelé labyrintárium.
