The Providence and Grand Rapids dams are located on the Maumee River in Grand Rapids, Ohio. They are low-head dams built in late 1830's as rock-crib dams that were later reinforced with concrete in 1908. The Providence dam is 362.1 m (1188 ft) long and 2.6 m (8.5 ft) tall while the Grand Rapids dam is 195.7 m (642 ft) long and 2.4 m (8 ft) tall. Both dams create a single reservoir with a normal pool storage of 1233.5 m3 (43,561 ft3) that is used for water supply and recreation. Fishing and watersports are allowed. Providence Metropark is open 7am till dusk daily.
