There is no specific marker for the actual state line but there are welcome signs a short distance from each other in opposite directions. The border is at the summit of Lost Trail Pass where questions exist to the exact route that Lewis and Clark followed as they traversed this area.
The state of Idaho maintains a highway rest area and welcome center on the west side of US 93 here at the summit of the pass. The welcome center is housed in a log structure that is in keeping with the rustic nature of this region.
