The Art*o*Mat at Whole Foods is discreetly tucked into the corner of the coffee bar at the front of the store. We LOVED the treatment on the outside of this machine - clear coat polyurethane over what must have been DECADES of rust.
Blasterz had a great time deciding which art to buy -- and wondering what we would get! We had a tough choice between photo collage art, 3-D animal art, wood sculpture, and small paintings.
After much discussion and deliberation, Younger Sister Blaster finally decided to get a pack of Random Fun-ness Art and Older Sister Blaster chose a ScarabArt sculpture.
Younger Sister Blaster's art is a CUTE necklace with a tile bead that reads "Sassy!" It's perfect for her bright and vibrant personality.
Older Sister Blaster got Yellow Koan #114/125 by Michael Westmoreland. It is a small block of wood sculpture with a recessed painted puzzle piece and decorative circles. It's perfect for her, since teenagers are puzzling to everyone (even to themselves)!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our Art*o*Mat experience, and look forward to going back soon for more!
18 Jan 2013 -- we came back to Whole Foods and had another Art*o*Mat experience!
Mama Blaster got a cool homemade scrapbook by Kelsy Huckaby. I think I will turn it over to my younger daughter to fill with special small drawings for me, or I will get my friends to write something in it :)
Older Sister Blaster got a 3-D tree frog sculpture painting by Lorrie Dunks that she L-O-V-E-S. Younger Sister Blaster for a 3-D roadrunner also by Lorrie Dunks -- both pieces are fabulous! :)
UPDATE: This Art*o*Mat has been replaced with a manned Amazon shipping area with lockers and a kiosk for returns. :( Miss that Art*o*Mat - it made shopping here fun!
