Visitors to Hagelstein Park can access a boat launch that is located at the southern end of the park. Once launched, boats can access Klamath Lake to the west via a waterway under Hwy 97. Boaters be warned, however, during summer months, the midges (little gnat-like insects), mosquitos and other insects abound and can make boating a miserable venture. Also, Klamath Lake is a very shallow lake and is infamous for it's blue-green algae that colors the lake a dark and often smelly green hue and isn't very popular for doing any kind of boating except birdwatching amongst the marshy areas that attract many bird species from around the northwest.

There is a website to this park here that mentions this boat launch.
