Holy Spirit Church - Kolochava, Ukraine - Orthodox Churches on Waymarking.com

The Greek Catholic wooden church situated at the confluence of the Tereblia and the Kolochavka rivesr was consecrated in honour of the Holy Spirit. It was built in 1795 according to the date above the door. The peculiarity of the church of the Bojko style is the double roof and the carved pillared porch. The rotation of the onion dome and the four-cornered plain wall is the characteristic feature of the shingled tower above the hall. Some icons were tranferred to the Uzhhorod Ethnographic Open Air Museum, the others are lost. The church was renovated in 1969-1970.
