This is a memorial for the 100th anniversary of the so-called 'Gäubahn', a railway between the cities of Stuttgart and Freudenstadt. It is loceated in Böblingen, Germany, Baden-Württemberg.

The memorial was placed at 1st September 1979. This was the 100th anniversary of the opening of the railway.

The memorial is also for Otto Elben. He is an honorary citizen of the city of Böblingen and he was a sponsor for the railway.
