The tank is located on Newport Avenue, just south of 7th Street South. While it is not close to I-65, one can use exit 205 and head west on 7th Street South to reach the site. The tank is painted white and has no special identification such as a city name.
This is also a benchmark with the designation of "Clanton South Municipal Tank" and a PID of CN2961.
