The first log building was only used until 1852, at which time it was replaced with a wood frame structure. This structure was built about a half mile north of the first school building. The present one-room school house was built in 1886 about a half mile west of the second school building. This is the third Ball Prairie School and is located on the northwest corner of County Road "G" and Clow Road. The school was closed in 1998.
