The Malone Spring Boat Launch is located at the Malone Spring Recreational Area, a small, secluded place that contains only a couple of fire pits and a small parking area for launching boats or canoes. There is a canoe trail that canoeists can launch from here and travel south, along the shoreline to Rocky Point Resort Boat Launch. The waters from this boat launch heading out are very marshy and definitely not suitable for speedboating. These waters are best suited for canoeing and slow moving boats that want to appreciate the abundance of wildlife here, particularly the diverse bird species that frequent this Wildlife Refuge throughout the year.
