This is a
small to medium sized Gazebo, located at the Hal Gray Park, in Rensselaer,
Indiana.
There is a small picnic
area that houses this quaint gazebo, shuffleboard surface, glider swing
and benches to enjoy an outdoor snack.
Hal Gray Park is south,
of the City of Rensselaer Power Plant, at 425 N Van Rensselaer Street.
The park was dedicated
on July 6, 1981, and named, after a respected local Music Teacher, Hal
Gray.
The Gazebo sits on a cornerstone,
dated 1892. There is a plaque giving details:-
This School
Memorial is dedicated to all Rensselaer
students. It represents
the memories we all have of the
school buildings which
at one time stood on these
corners. This cornerstone
and the bricks surrounding it
came from the Primary
Building.
