Central Mall Surat Shrine—Surat Thani, Thailand - Buddhist Temples and Public Shrines on Waymarking.com

Surat Thani is one of the major cities of southern Thailand, and one of its major consumer, shopping 'experiences' is the new (2012) Central Festival ('Centron') mall, ~8kms to the west of the city centre. It is customary in Thailand to have a shrine near the entrance to any major structure, where humans live, work, or play, and Centron is no exception, and on the southern side of this mall is this shrine.

Normally, I do not waymark these shrines due to their ubiquity, however, this is particularly attractive in appearance. The shrine is traditional in design. It is used by employees upon arrival, by shoppers ready to embark on a mercantile adventure, taxi drivers, and even by passer-byes. All seeking a little guidance and assistance on the difficult and, alas, too short journey in this life.
