Beach Break Café - Independent Breakfast Spots on Waymarking.com

It's a 750 mile trip (one-way) but whenever I'm in Southern California I always make it a point to have at least one breakfast at the Beach Break. They've just built a new restaurant about a block north or their former location and the larger space has cut down on the wait times for a table to some degree. But this place is always busy because the food is so good.

I made the mistake of ordering an omelet on one trip when I was dining alone. Their four-egg omelets are more than enough for two average people. The Banana Crunch French Toast is one of their signature items and it's what I order just about every time.

The staff is super-friendly and many have been there for years. I've never seen a time when both owners aren't present and making sure that everyone is completely satisfied.

They don't take reservations and the wait can be lengthy, especially on weekends, but don't give up and leave before you can eat. You'll never know how much you're missing.
