Místo, kde bylo 1. dubna 1899 nalezeno telo Anežky Hruzové (* 16. dubna 1879) z vesnice Malá Vežnicka. Pracovala v Polné jako švadlena. 29. brezna 1899 se vracela z práce do Vežnicky, domu však již nedošla. Z její vraždy byl obvinen žid z Polné, Leopold Hilsner. Ac se jeho vina dostatecne neprokázala, byl odsouzen k trestu smrti. Pozdeji mu byl trest zmenen na doživotí a v roce 1918 byl omilostnen. Prípad vyvolal silné emoce, podporované mediální kampaní, pozdeji oznacené jako Hilsneriáda. Hilsneriáda byla nejvetším propuknutím antisemitismu na ceském území behem 19. století.

Place where April 1st, 1899 Anežka Hruzova (* April 16, 1879) from the village of Malá Vežnicka was found dead. She worked as a seamstress in Polná. 29th March 1899 she returned from work to Vežnicka, however, did not reach home. From her murder was accused Jewish inhabitant of the town of Polná, Leopold Hilsner. Although it did not sufficiently establish his guilt, he was sentenced to death. Later, his sentence was commuted to life imprisonment, and in 1918 he was pardoned. The case evoked strong emotions, supported by media campaigns, later labeled as Hilsneriáda. Hilsneriáda was the largest outbreak of anti-Semitism in the Czech Republic during the 19th century.
