The "Supertram" is an old streetcar from Brandenburg (Havel), German Democratic Republic. It belongs to the so-called Gothawagen, produced from 1957 on by the VEB Waggonbau Gotha, German Democratic Republic, for numerous public transport operators throughout the GDR. After 1965, production was transferred to ČKD Tatra in Prague, Chechoslovakia, where it continued until 1968. The "Supertram" is from chech production and was delivered to the Brandenburg transit authority in 1968. There it did service for about 30 years, its last road number being 162. In 1998, a Bielefeld restaurant manager purchased it and converted it to be a bar in his beer garden on the Siegfriedplatz in western downtown Bielefeld, where it since can be viewed by the public, and gave it the name "Supertram", a tongue-in-cheek reference to a popular band.
Opening hours of the beer garden depend on season and weather. Closed in winter.

Die "Supertram" ist ein alter Straßenbahnwagen, der zuvor in Brandenburg (Havel) im Liniendienst stand. Er gehört zu den sogenannten Gothawagen, wie sie seit 1957 vom VEB Waggonbau Gotha für zahlreiche Straßenbahnbetriebe der DDR gebaut worden sind. Nach 1965 wurde die Produktion an ČKD Tatra in Prag abgegeben, wo die Fahrzeuge noch bis 1968 weitergebaut wurden. Die "Supertram" stammt aus tchechischer Produktion und wurde 1968 an die Brandenburger Verkehrsbetriebe geliefert, wo sie rund 30 Jahre lang eingesetzt wurde, zuletzt mit der Betriebsnummer 162. 1998 wurde sie von einem Bielefelder Gastronomen erworben, der sie zur Ausgabetheke für seinen Biergarten auf dem Siegfriedplatz in der westlichen Bielefelder Innenstadt umbaute, wo sie noch heute besichtigt werden kann. In augenzwinkernder Anspielung auf eine populäre Band erhielt sie den Namen "Supertram".
Die Öffnungszeiten des Biergartens sind saison- und wetterabhängig. Im Winter geschlossen.
