Marker Name: Dr. J.F. Hosch House
Marker Text: Dr. Hosch, an early Redmond physician, served as mayor of Redmond from 1912-19 and from 1921-24. He then moved to Bend, where he was mayor from 1932-35 and served four terms in the state legislature from 1935 -41. His home here in Redmond, built for $3,000, has four bedrooms and four fireplaces. The home originally included surrounding property that encompassed the entire block where Dr. Hosch had his own clay tennis court.
