Lying in the Dersingham Nature Reserve the boardwalk crosses a very boggy landscape which provides habitat for many unusual plants and animals. The area is easily damaged by trampling so the boardwalk gives the visitor a chance to explore the area in an environmentally friendly way.
The valley mire is the term used to describe the area. There is much wildlife to see and cows graze the perimeter and reserve to manage the eco-system.
The boardwalk was constructed by English Nature and is 300 metres long. There is an information board in the middle of the walk.
